Conical Springs

Conical springs are usually installed in pairs in an axle housing and provide stiffness in three directions: Vertical and horizontal (lateral and longitudinal). The vertical stiffness is soft and gradually hardens to prevent derailment. The longitudinal and transverse rigidity is important for the transmission of braking and tractive force as well as for the stability of the vehicles.

By adding slots or gaps to the rubber parts, their horizontal stiffness can be changed. The conical suspension spring design can also include buffers to accommodate additional shock loads.

Our conical spring parts offer very effective noise and vibration reduction with a simple design. These can be used on a variety of on-road and off-road vehicles.

Main areas of use: Subway, tram
